Monitoring The Future Non-Response (MTF NR) Project Overview

Monitoring The Future (MTF) has been an on-going study since 1976. Each year, 8th, 10th and 12th graders from around the United States complete an in-school self-administered questionnaire. Every summer, the Survey Services Lab (SSL), contacts respondents to remind them to complete their follow-up survey.

Monitoring The Future Non-Response is a locating/reminder calling project for MTF follow-up panels. The respondents in these panels originally completed self-administered questionnaires dealing with attitudes toward social issues and behaviors. As a sub-sample of the MTF in-school administrations, respondents continue to receive follow-up self-administered questionnaires. The Non-Response project contacts and reminds panel members who have not completed their survey, either online or on paper.
